CurateGrid Privacy Notice
Motovolo Inc. (Panama) operates CurateGrid. Provisional information published on 16 October 2026, GMT-5.
Data and purposes
We process account and organization information, protected credentials, workspace memberships, invitations, files and their metadata, versions, votes, comments, decisions and activity records to provide the service. Technical data may include IP address, date, browser characteristics and security events. Purchases generate payment references, amounts and statuses.
Purposes include authentication, permission enforcement, hosting and reviewing materials, evaluation integrity, account and security communications and purchase administration. Applicable grounds may include the service relationship, legal obligations and, where appropriate, consent or legitimate operational and security interests subject to law. Sensitive or third-party information should not be provided without appropriate authorization and purpose.
Responsibilities and recipients
Motovolo determines processing needed for its accounts, security and purchases. The institution or person organizing a workspace determines the purposes for its materials and evaluations; where Motovolo acts on their instructions, the Data Processing Conditions apply.
Authorized workspace participants and necessary providers described in Providers and Subprocessors may access data for their functions. Infrastructure, security, email, technical measurement and payments can involve processing outside Panama. We do not state that all data remains in one country or claim international compliance certification.
Retention, originals and AI
Workspace content is retained to provide the service and preserve its history until removal is arranged. Subscription expiry is not deletion. There is no general automatic deletion of accounts and files: requests are handled with assistance, taking legal obligations and other people's rights into account.
Private recovery copies have a different lifecycle from visible content and currently have no general automatic purge. Data-removal requests are also considered in relation to these copies and retention obligations, without promising immediate deletion or indefinite retention. Necessary retention or limitations are explained when a request is handled.
Original files may contain EXIF, GPS, camera or provenance information. Keeping original bytes and displaying metadata to participants are separate functions. Motovolo does not authorize using customer content to train models. External AI features require specific activation and relevant provider information; classroom content is not sent to external AI merely because the service is used for education.
Rights and contact
You may request information, access, correction, objection, withdrawal of consent, erasure or portability where applicable. Use your existing support or contracting channel, or contact your workspace administrator; identify CurateGrid, the request and the related account or workspace. Proportionate identity checks may be needed without asking for passwords. Requests involving an institution's data should be coordinated with that institution.
Applicable legal deadlines govern; no universal technical deletion deadline or complete automatic export is promised. You may contact the competent authority, including ANTAI in Panama, without giving up other legal remedies.
School use requires appropriate permissions and minimum necessary data; an educational feature does not itself establish COPPA or FERPA compliance. See Cookies for browser storage and measurement.
